SNOW DAY!!!

So when we moved to Moscow, we were assured (repeatedly) that Moscow had very mild winters, and that if it did snow, it didn't stick around for a long time. What a load of crap! While it's not much compared to the walloping that Ty and Amber got in Colorado, it was pretty decent. We have been accumulating snow for quite some time and last night we got about a foot. Apparently the weather has been so inclement that I got out of class today (and tomorrow!). This picture above was taken at lunch today at the bottom of our stairs. Sandi took the afternoon off because the courthouse was closed and there wasn't much to be done. I, however, worked diligently all afternoon while she had fun in the snow.

When we got up this morning to go to work and school, we could barely see the Altima and it looked liked we crashed into a drift, much like this Ford Focus. It would have been better if we had taken a picture of OUR car, but this is as good as it gets.

Sandi also had the opportunity to make this very, um, "sad" snowman from the snow that was solely on our deck. Being the resourceful woman that she is, she used Taco Time mints for the eyes, which immediately began to discolor the snow around them. So, the snowman is even more sad than when he started out.

So, thus ends my first blog post. Exciting isn't it?
