In late June, Sandi made this cake for her grandpa's retirement party. As you can probably tell, her grandpa was a trucker. Her cake skills continue to improve, and sometime soon she'll start taking requests.

The Lion:
The Butterfly:
The rest of the motley crew (or crue for my brothers), things got a little ugly when we had way too much blue frosting, hence blue lion and the somewhat demonic blue sheep.
We then babysat my oldest brother's kids for a weekend. They are well behaved kids, but thankfully, their cousins were in town and we were able let them hang out, diffusing some of our responsibilities. We went to Rexburg to set up a slip n slide, but didn't take any pictures. However, if you want us to babysit, this could happen to your kid. You've been warned.
Later in the month, we had a few reunions, including my immediate family reunion in Island Park. It was a ton of fun (thanks Ty and Amber!) and great to be with family. One day we went up to Yellowstone Park from Island Park. We rented two large vans for the whole family, which meant for some great travel stories.
Firepot Falls. We found out that about 1/2 a mile upstream from these falls is a large swimming area in the warm water. Sandi wants to go back up, but I don't think we're going to make it.
Me at the hot pots. Even though I haven't been there in about 15 years, it still smells like sulfur. This year we were again in charge of the treasure hunt for the kids, but this time failed to designate a photographer. Last year we found Redbeard the Pirate's Treasure and this year we were hot on the tail of the Tumadre Fortune stolen by the bandit Mustache Willy. Needless to say, it was another success. And if you ever wondered, yes, fake mustaches are totally worth the money.
