Hey-guess what? We actually still post occasionally. I know it is shocking, but we have had a few technical glitches and general laziness. So, here we are. Before we left Moscow (which seems so long ago) we were able to go to two buttes on the Palouse; Steptoe Butte and Kamiak Butte. While there are buttes around Rexburg, these are a different type. Anyhoo, if you want more info on them, you can google them. Steptoe is a little north of Colfax and you can drive up to the top.
Apparently you need a tripod to get on the butte as we were the only people without one. Oops. Also, it would have been better if it was a clearer day, but you have to take what you can get.

The next butte is Kamiak. It is quite a bit closer to Moscow and more wooded. We headed out there with our friends/neighbors, Los Todds. We had a great time in the park/picnic area, especially overhearing what seemed to be a Constitution Party gathering. There is also a small hike that offers some pretty good views of Moscow from afar.
In the Archibald family, one must always be on their toes because someone is bound to take a picture. Or if you are taking a picture, it could be ruined. Take that Sandi.
