4 Years!! Boo-yah!

Mike and I have been married for 4 years! Mikey - I love you so much, you are the best husband ever, thanks for making me so happy!

Eve's Room

I said I would post the pictures of the nursery once Eve was born so below are a few pictures. The first picture is of a sock animal cat that I made for her. We are all doing really well and I can't complain. Eve is a good baby so far and hasn't caused much trouble except for a few spit ups and drenching my pajamas in poop one night (things that would be a lot less forgivable if she wasn't so darn cute!) Anyhow, thanks to everyone who has sent their well wishes, we love you all!

Eve-- 1 week

One week of happiness.

The love sac is apparently a vortex of sleep with Eve.

What else?

We are new parents--what do you expect from us? And really, is there any other reason that you are visiting our blog? Didn't think so.

Grandma Pearce is happy to be with us for the next few days (and we're happy to have her!)

She isn't quite accustomed to the flash....................yet.

Eve, Day 2

Needless to say, we are quite smitten with our cute little girl. Last week, we wanted a little glimpse at what she would look like, so we found a website that "predicts" what your baby would look like. The result was quite frightening (but better than what a child between Sandi and Justin Timberlake would look like. Take that, Justin):
We are very grateful that she doesn't look like that (though I guess she still could). Here are a couple of pictures for comparison, one of Sandi and one of myself as babies, though not as young.

Feel free to make any comparisons about which one of us she looks like. Here's some pictures that we took today. We made it home and wish us good luck for the first night in the homestead.

Owls

I didn't really start out with a theme for our nursery but it just kind of came into place that there are lots of birds, especially owls. I don't know what it is about the owls, but I just think they are too cute. And, it doesn't stop with just the decor, I have also purchased other owl items. Mike also likes the owls and so any baby item we see which has an owl on it, we at least have to consider purchasing it. And, if it hadn't been too non-gender neutral, we probably would have bought the car seat pattern entitled "little hoot". Anyhow, I am going to wait until she is born to post all the pictures of the nursery since her name is on one wall (and that could still possibly change), but below is a little sneak peak for you all. I know it really isn't important what the nursery looks like, the baby won't know and I won't care when it is 3 am and I just want to go to sleep, but it is just fun.

Also I just wanted to say we were blessed to have many people give us baby items which we are deeply grateful for, so thanks to all of you! The other picture below is of a delicious napoleon dessert that I made for V-day, it was so messy but tasty. And for those of you who are wondering how I am doing, just picture a small mammoth or large elephant tromping down everything in its path and that would be an accurate view. Other than that I am doing really great and just hoping that she comes on or before her due date, which of course means she probably won't. Mike is also doing really well and we are both just gearing up for a big change in our lives.
