I didn't really start out with a theme for our nursery but it just kind of came into place that there are lots of birds, especially owls. I don't know what it is about the owls, but I just think they are too cute. And, it doesn't stop with just the decor, I have also purchased other owl items. Mike also likes the owls and so any baby item we see which has an owl on it, we at least have to consider purchasing it. And, if it hadn't been too non-gender neutral, we probably would have bought the car seat pattern entitled "little hoot". Anyhow, I am going to wait until she is born to post all the pictures of the nursery since her name is on one wall (and that could still possibly change), but below is a little sneak peak for you all. I know it really isn't important what the nursery looks like, the baby won't know and I won't care when it is 3 am and I just want to go to sleep, but it is just fun.
Also I just wanted to say we were blessed to have many people give us baby items which we are deeply grateful for, so thanks to all of you! The other picture below is of a delicious napoleon dessert that I made for V-day, it was so messy but tasty. And for those of you who are wondering how I am doing, just picture a small mammoth or large elephant tromping down everything in its path and that would be an accurate view. Other than that I am doing really great and just hoping that she comes on or before her due date, which of course means she probably won't. Mike is also doing really well and we are both just gearing up for a big change in our lives.

I love the owls and your nursery is the cutest nursery I have ever seen! PS that dessert looks amazing! Please share the recipe!
yum. That dessert looks delicious! you're quite the little baker. You need to teach me. Since I've seen the nursery in the flesh I can testify at how stinking cute it is!You did such a good job. My favorite part would have to be all the cute clothes in the closet. I love little baby clothes. :)
p.s. sorry I missed your shower! We ended up going to Spokane for a dr. appt and stayed the night. I have a gift for you I need to drop off sometime soon.
Cute! I am excited for you new addition! I hope all is well, and it is not so bad to have the baby late, both of mine were a week or more after the due date, it is just more time to sleep :)
Can't wait to see more pics...miss you! Love your mini mammoth guts!
Elephant? REALLY, Sandi? I totally don't believe it.
The owls are SUPER cute, though. Did you paint it on the wall?
Wendy -
I did not paint them, they are actually wall stickers that I got from Target (even better because who wants to paint an apartment and then have to re-paint it when they move). And yes, an Elephant.
Sandi,
I totally don't believe you look like an elephant. Judging from the picture below you are tiny! As someone who is as big as an elephant it makes me mad when you use that description because if tiny little you is suuposedly big as an elephant what does that make me. I think that leaves me to the blue whale catagory. Also love the owls but I especially love the little hedgehog by the tree.
